  2. That is fantastic looking, great work.

  15. Bike was due yesterday-but Russ found a flaw in the powder coating on the rear wheel.

Gave me the option of taking it now & fix later or fix now.

Given it is currently 3” deep snow here I said fix now. Due Wednesday/Thursday next week.

  16. Who does the powder coating and how many dollars ? PM if you don’t want to reveal openly

  17. The powder coating was done by someone the dealer knew. Cost £300. Which was a bit much tbh - given how my MV Agusta got the same for £150

I didn’t argue though cos if the dealer does it before bike delivered then warranty covers it. Also I guess it means I get new front wheel bearings straight off!

Certainly here in Lancashire theres a few places that will do it.

Over the years I’ve found many places that do bike stuff where you wouldn’t expect-got my (now ex) wife’s bike painted at a car workshop after I dropped it when washing it...got new rear hub bearings for my RVF at 1/10 price at a local bearing factor.

There’s nothing really complex here...so if a truck manufacturer can provide a bearing you need - it’ll probably be higher spec than the Honda original...and if an industrial laboratory powder coater can do a cool gold...if it withstands the plague then mucky roads are easy. :)
