you are quiet right but id sorta forgot about it till stripping the bike on thursday and had to get it to painters on friday... hopefully i can sort it with an o ring! im sure with the help of the good folk on here we will get it worked out...
Mine did this on the 748 too, Öhlins job. As Andy said, O ring was shot and also the top hat on the right hand side mount was incorrectly fitted. Easy fix.
