Yes. The Internet says tighter is better and they'll give a bit after they're broken in. I'll just have to wear warm kit over the top if it gets cold
Took the R out last night to test. Only taken out for a short ride, but a reasonable amount of the vibes are definitely ironed out with less buzz. In fact, there was no buzz. Interestingly, you become much more aware of the overall vibrations from the engine through the chassis because the handlebars are so calm.
Just bought new belts and had the valve clearances checked which resulted in 6 new shims being fitted and a new head gasket. MOT done at same time - all in all very expensive. My Hyper is 4 years old and if I'd known how much I was about to spend on it I would have considered doing a part-ex for a new Multi.
If they are for track only then you want them tight'ish. You want the plastic protective bits to stay in the right place when you are bouncing down the road.....believe me I know... If they are for the road and you go out for the day etc then you want some room in them. Did your bike turn from yellow to red in the green house?
I've worn them a couple of times and had a good sweat in them and they're just fine now. A zip in the calf did pop open on the second wearing though, so I had the zip replaced at a local tailors. That'll teach me for having legs.
Spareparts...think of the weight the bar end will add! Thats a tenth on your laptimes without trying!
