Have a similar issue with my girlfriends Dainese shoulder plate but in the UK because the suit is CE approved, you can no longer buy the plates separately to fit yourself and it's a toss up on whether it gets replaced in the UK or the suit gets sent back to Italy. You might just have to live with it. Andy
Bit of the thread revival to ask if anyone's tried Dainese Custom Works? Do you need to sell a kidney to afford it, and how good is Dainese made-to-measure?
