Does anyone use spidi leathers. I quite like the look of them and wonder how they compare to dainese fit and quality wise. Also does anyone no who stocks them in the Midlands
Yep, well made. Good weight to them. They feel a bit overkill the way they are made, in regards to the build quality. Mine needs replacing after 10 years on track highs and lows. Will be looking for Spidi again to replace. I have a Dainese 2 piece, they feel lighter in quality and material used. More of a fashion item, than something to protect.
Had a spidi 2 piece before my current furygan 1 piece. it was lovely, really well made (in italy) and i would gladly buy spidi again. they got a good write up in that detailed article that someone wrote where the interviewed and examined lots of leather stuff by a broad range of brands
I have them too, 1-piece. Very well made, I have had no problems as yet. I bought directly from Spidi using their website as no one stocked my size. If I remeber I think mine is called Warrior Wind Pro.
How’s the sizing on these? Found a new set at a good price online but not sure if they run true to size or Italian slim!
Thanks, and I was kinda hoping that to be the case. I’ll order a size up. Do you put a back protector in?
Back when I worked in the bike trade, the Spidi stuff was solid but always came out quite small... the thighs were always tiny. Built for Italians rather than the stuff like RST that was built for the more European build
I found that my Spidi gear was the same size as my Dainese gear. However, I think that sizing can vary even within the same brand's clothing range
This is true, a race cut will always be tighter in legs and arms because even if they require the length of say a 54, it will be most likely that they will be slimmer in legs and arms because racers generally are fitter. For example I bought a set of Red/Black Alpinestar 2 piece leathers that were brutally tight and they just wouldn't give enough after 3-4 rides, my mate had a set of the slightly more relaxed road/sport ones without the hump in the same size, but his were baggy in the legs and lower arms, so we swapped in a costa carpark and we've kept them since! he's just a tiny tiny bit shorter than me also so it's really cut dependent even within in brand
