Yes. But you could get them sent on to you surely? IMHO it’s a must to at least see the bike before buying it. Not being smart, honestly just trying to help.
I will go and get whatever bike it is in a van as after thinking about it it seems the most sensible thing to do. thanks for bringing it to my attention @XH558 He has asked £7300 for the bike and parts and with the work it needs (wheels, shock, brake lines, potentially clutch slave cyclinder, radiator etc) I think it’s to much I would rather spend say £8k on something with that done. I have 5he opportunity to get this https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1205890 for a little bit less than the advertised price and I think it may be a better bet.
This one has been up for sale for sometime now,so needs checking over with a microscope, always remove the fairings and look at the frame/engine condition and battery tray for battery acid corrosion.

Looks to be a nice and almost bog standard 916 with just a few add ons which really don't detract from the bike at all. Go for it.
Looks nice. To be fair if the last time it was in the workshop was at Lougi’s then that is quite reassuring, when I bought my 916 it was in there and the guys down there are top notch and really know their stuff. The only thing I would do it take those stickers off the front and the gold bungs off the frame and you’ll have a cracking looking bike. The only thing better than the looks is the ride! Took mine for its first outing yesterday, absolutely loved it! I had to rebuild the shock on mine, well, got MH racing to do it and I’ve done some refurbing over the winter. There loads of people about, a good amounts of parts available and this forum is 10/10 for advice and to get tips. Get on it mate!
Mine have gaps in the service history,as they've been parked up over the years etc.nothing to worry about for me.
If you're looking for a bike of this age with full history you will have a long search/wait if indeed you ever find one. Judge it on its condition and the person selling it. Summer is not far away..............
some of the bikes i have/have had, have gaps in the service history but they telly with the mots for millage so show they were not in use for a bit.... i think it nothing to worry about.... given a lot of owners have more than 1 bike its likely some wont get used or serviced for a bit, no biggy. ducatis are not as fragile as some would have you believe!
Yeh, this one has been used but doesn’t have any service history between 5004 - JPH - 5/5/2000 Gap 10717 - Lougi Moto - 1/5/2019 but it does have the mot history which shows the following April 19th 2000 to April 18th 2001 - 4972 Mies Missing 2001 to 2002 Feb 19th 2002 to Feb 18th 2003 - 8101 Miles June 19th 2003 to June 18th 2004 - 8849 Miles July 10th 2004 to July 9th 2005 - 9409 Miles June 21st 2005 to June 20th 2006 - 9807 Miles Off road from 2006 to 2015 June 20th 2015 to June 19th 2016 - 10387 May 5th 2019 to May 14th 2020 - 10,712 So there is a gap in the service history for 6 years from 2000 to 2006 then it was off the road maybe I’m just overthinking it
ahh.... hard to call.... its luck of the draw at the best of times with not only a used vehicle but a sometimes a new one.... if ya like the bike, take the gamble i think.... but definitely use that info as a bargaining chip as far as you can.... good luck with it dude
Gaps is okay I think if they are in the middle of the service history and can be somewhat mitigated with MOT info and some 6th sense work, ie why would it do 4K miles in 4 years then suddenly jump 10k miles with no history then do none per year or the other way around for example. Best of luck mate
