It’s about getting your money back, not the fact people can’t ride. No event = refund. Should be that simple.
Were not whinging about the trackdays being cancelled, we completely understand that, we're whinging because we've booked with a company that has a customer service level of an Eastern European whore house.
Not one post here (that I’ve seen or can find, but feel free to direct me) has any one of us complaining about the fact the events are being cancelled. The main discussions are involving refunds for those events, which we are well entitled to pursue. Some of us only get one euro event a year so it’s a pretty big deal for some if they lose out completely. For what it’s worth, I’m in full support of all trackdays being cancelled, UK or Spain with the increased load of the medical staff at this time
I’m new to the thread, haven’t seen any posts that suggest people are angry at the cancelled events and situations that can’t be controlled so aim putting this down to a misunderstanding by select members. If I were in your positions I would be pushing for refund rather than credits as you do run the risk of loosing the money, even if you paid on credit card the cc will start to tighten up if they get hammered for losses and you ‘accepting’ deferred dates may look bad in that regards. I’m also not surprised FE are being a difficult company to work with, some love them, I’m firmly on the side of never spending another penny with them. i go out with a not for profit track day organisation that is really great and while I couldn’t afford Jerez this year and really wanted to go, the ones who had Parc motor deposits seem to have been very happy with comms and I’m really glad I spend my money with this group
If the complaining is purely financial, then it's understandable that people are frustrated about their bad luck / the bad timing but please spare a thought for the medical staff who are on the frontline with virus sufferers. I guess they do not earn anything near as much as the average Ducati owner who can afford to wobble around tracks. The pandemic is causing cancellations around the world. Not your fault, not the TD organiser's fault, but when the effect is that people's lives at at stake then money is also not so important. In my humble opinion of course.
we heard you the first time. Once you come down from your ivory tower let us know when you want to add something constructive to the thread
I’d worry more about the hundred of thousands about to lose their jobs in U.K. and millions on the continent and those who work of zero hours or sick pay terms in U.K. who are about to go massively into debt and likely lose things like their homes. Spanish can take care of the Spanish
And no doubt some off our last payments into the shit heap that is the EU will be used to bail them out.
I suspect our last payments will be used to ensure that the Eurocrats get their performance bonuses and indeterminate expenses.
Yes, as has been said by many people many times, I don't think there is anyone here who has anything other than total and utter respect for all those at the front line trying to manage this, they are all hero's. It's not the TD companies 'fault' but how they deal with a difficult situation shows the moral-compass of the company, as it does with any firm at this time.
I spend most of my time off in Spain as I have a house there and that’s why I have more of an interest in Spain. Doesn’t mean to say I’m any less concerned for those in Britain either though. It’s a cluster for everyone. We’re already feeling the effects at work too.
I notice the MSV email sent tonight mentions credits rather than refunds. I wonder if Ducati UK will have any say if their trackdays are cancelled?
Just had an e-mail from FE re my event end April. They've basically extended the date for final payment and promised credit for future event if no go. @Bondy7070
