So what have you done today..?

  1. Signed up for Northumbria Blood bikes for the duration of the plague, then volunteered at my local chemists
to assist with prescription deliveries etc for the local pensioners.

  5. Technically it's not social distancing as they all have to end up meeting back at the 5 dealers to get them fixed ;-)

Only joking, I love Aprilia's really.

  6. That's agreat thing to do chap, how did the chemist take it, did they know you and knew you wouldn't steal the drugs :D

I guess what I'm asking is , how did you go about it if others wanted to help too?

  7. I can see the chemists from the house and walk past every afternoon with the dog. I just asked them if they
expected needing help getting prescriptions in and out on the estate, for the olds in the coming weeks. Gave pharmacist my details
and offered to bring full proof of IDs as and when they need me. Dunno what will occur, but they were interested in taking the info.

I'm self employed/unemployed at the mo, so seemed like decent use of my free time as I walk the estate with the hound anyway.

  9. Just out for a walk, found my mates pub was empty other than his son doing the crossword at the bar so popped in for a pint, 40p cheaper than my local.

  10. Just as I set off from here, a guy came past in a Ferrari F8 spyder, so I had a very interesting 5 miles following him. He wasnt afraid to use it I couldn't hear the Aprilias exhaust above the noise from his car. It was eye opening to see how fast it could corner

  11. One of the two chemists in our village lined up half a dozen chairs outside the shop door today. They are for customers to sit on whilst they wait for the one person the dispenser is allowing in the shop at any one time to be served. Our local Sainsbury’s looked like a swarm of locusts had descended, shelves were bare of I know not what because the entire isle of shelving was empty. I could not find cheese, butter, jam, marmalade, peanut butter, soup (tinned and dehydrated) wtf ? Plenty of bread but nothing to spread on it. Oh yes and plenty of Pot Noodles. Why ? Popped down to MR just for some company. My V4 was finished and they should be starting on the 853 soon. Sadly they are still waiting on the crank to come back from balancing so no progress on the Multistrada. The M3 was as busy as I would expect for early afternoon so life is still going on for some. 14. just what I thought last night, we are on a main road but not a car going by at midnight, quite eerie.

  15. Bakewell has the main A6 trunk road running through the town center, you normally have to drive around a couple of times to find a parking space, car parks are only a quarter full. I've never seen the place so quiet, it's only going to get worse.

  19. Today I have been sort of industrious.......first thing I metal brushed/sanded down a rather nice metal garden ornament that SWMBO rescued from her mum's bungalow before it was sold and she went into a care home. Got all the rusty bits off and then gave it 3 coats with the middle of Lidl's hammerite type black spray paint. It looks proper smart and tarty now.

Then I have been moving stuff (pots, plants and rocks etc) around the garden in line with SWMBO's wishes.

    I'm done in now.
