So, I'm guessing that some members won't give a shit about matching, personally, I think its really important, a bit like carpets and curtains I'm in a personal dilemma, I've gone from a white 1098 Streetfighter to a very red 1198, but I still have Ducati white and red gloves which if I'm honest, looks a bit shit on the new bike, and sticking to the National Speed Limits, your going to be seen. I mean, we all go past shop windows and cop a look at yourself, right? (all I see are these red, white and black gloves) Now, I have a friend who has the same bike and he couldn't give a rats ass what he wears, he says his riding speaks for itself, he is an ex TT racer so hats off. But, I'm not an ex TT racer and I want to feel like Chaz Davis on my bike (not Welsh, I'm a Kiwi) So, is it new gloves time? Or is it decals time? Oh, nearly forgot...The helmet is black and grey with the red X-lite brand on the top...X-903 Ultra Carbon In the Mountain bike world, helmets and gloves are the matching items, so, what about here? Can't wait to hear from you all as I know I will, this just seems too important not to talk about
Your choice, but I can’t stand branded crap the same as the vehicle make. Saw a guy in a Ferrari yesterday with his Misses, the pair of them had matching Ferrari caps. My first thoughts were what a couple of idiots.
In the words of Sean Connery 007 'ash long ash the collarsh matcsh the cuffsh' is all you need to know
A few years ago I was sat drinking in the square in a little town called Brionne in France. It was the weekend of Le Mans. 3 Ferrari's pulled in. A red one a yellow one and a black one. The three drivers were young bucks Each was completely colour matched to their cars right down to the trainers. Was going to say knobbers but they clearly could buy me many times over so who was the knob
Have you considered buying some tins of household emulsion from B&Q and brush painting the bike to match your gloves?
I'm kinda hoping that no one actually thought I was serious? I like to stir a bit and see what happens. However....I do need different gloves
Just a thought.....if you were at the BSB or WSB and you supported Ducati, in your opinion, can you wear a Ducati shirt/T-shirt? What if then, you wore that T-shirt at the race away from the bike....the bike you rode in on, and then jumped on your bike and rode home....Idiot or no ?
MTB is matching helmets and gloves, first I’ve heard. I know road cyclist have a kit thing going on. I’m in the wear what you like brigade.
