Decided to play “what’s your oldest sell by date?” at Mums and so far have come up with 1998. It’s nearly all sugar so just tried some with hot water
Topped up my Ryobi 2-Stroke strimmer this morning. I used some Putoline Strawberry oil that I had from my Lambretta a while back. At a 50:1 mix, this should last a while. It's confusing for the neighbours when I'm trimming lawn edges to be smelling strawberries though.
I threw some butter beans (god knows why I had them) out last year dated 2001. The thing is, I moved to this house in 2014, so obviously brought them with me.
This morning I went to the PO to post something. It was shut :/ About half an hour ago our door bell rang so I went to the door, however there was no one to be seen. But they'd left a little plastic bag of cookies on the doorstep. Not that she'll be on here to read this but........thank you Orla!! When this is all over I will make sure she gets a proper thank you and I'm sure all the neighbours will want to treat her for her kindness in return!!
Fabricated a front seat frame and fitted the new seats into my 71 Early Bay. Next job is cut out some rusty flooring in the cargo bay and reweld some nice shiny metal in place.
Carried on cleaning...chain scrubbing mainly... Rsv done... Hyper done... Wiring in the house tomorrow...
Went to the local BP garage, rubber glove on one hand to handle the pump, only touching my fuel cans with the ohter hand. Some finest 97RON BP Ultimate later, I brimmed the tanks of 6 bikes and put fuel stabiliser in the Ducatis and LC as I don't know how much they will get used this year. If I haven't been out by winter, I'll drain them, refill with fresh and put the old stuff in the Vespa. Then I went in to make curries.
