  1. We've got a "Like" button...... Sometimes I just wish we had a "Bollocks" button, or maybe even a "Cock" button.

    Is it just me?

  2. Nice one gliddofglood...practical as ever...good shift back to original theme after some all round entertainment. Been good to see where some sensitivities are and some lack of understandings. Thanx for your to the point and very practical feedback on posting pix - much appreciated. Cool autoshift...lease a 'bike annually and maybe lease the dressing up uniform to go with it...ROFL...dedicated followers of fashion ...:biggrin:nice to have a SOH...... I'll be scratching the PP around some doorstep dales B's in sunshine tomorrow before the B Hol traffic gets too busy....riding is what it's about...OLLI...:upyeah:

  3. Couldn't agree more. God spare us from real 'Adventure Riders' if this is what they are like. Best just ignore him in future I think. Maybe he'll rein it in a bit or just go away.

  4. Well it had to happen didn't it? Some brand fanatic jumps in on a sensible discussion and comes out with a load of b*****t and denegrates fellow bikers while being what he accuses others of by pretending to be a Pike's Peak (wannabe) racer. Nice work Foggy, can't take you seriously!
Just look at some of the stuff he has written....just in case you didn't have the patience to read it all.

If the cap fits, wear it...
...( just try not to pull it too far down over your eyes....you may not see the Darby n Joan's... )

  5. That's a cracking time; takes me 62 minutes. Ok I'm 52 but you're going like the clappers son!

  6. A return to Beemer post that unravelled & became rather weird. Pass the bottle, I need another wine.

  7. Thanks Richard....more to do with EQ than money...and it's not about " winning " anyway. Enjoy your journey whatever you choose to ride. On reflection I think your innocent enough musings got caught up in some fairly classic banter which the GS'ers seem to attract worldwide

  8. Ahaa.. avoiding weird with more wine is one way I suppose...a SOH is another. " Joy in the heart and laughter on one's lips is a sign the person deep down has a pretty good grasp of life ". Weird is just a part of it...and unravelling is a part of the mystery which keeps some of us going...with a SOH...

  9. More about ' Adventure Living ' than just riding....the Adventure 'biking includes Trials, trails, enduros, t/shox classic rallyes, race circuits, road, tracks, off piste, deserts..blah blah.. Life is either an adventure or nothing ( like the Mutt & Jeff show ). Be optimistic......:rolleyes: better than closed minds....

  10. Just an observation but you seem to be lost. Best find your way back to the KTM or some other forum as we cannot operate at your elevated plane. Or even understand you.....

Whatever you are on, best reduce the dose!

  11. I'm a bit confused by your view that life is either an adventure or nothing because I've got a scabby little 2 stroke that I use for enduros and rally moto events and I don't look on riding it as an adventure; more like a few hours of physical and mental torture with very little reward but I'd hardly describe it as 'nothing'.

  12. Not lost at all dear boy....just playing off piste....looking for the one's who can and do operate on same ( pretty basic ) plane. It's not difficult to find 'em ! The one's who can't and don't understand give themselves away early in the game. Just look at the current thread on what/how this forum members become Seniors...most have a SOH...and some savvy...especially liked it takes "..a sufficient number of incoherent ravings...". Can't have it all your own way....schools out now........

  13. Are you from Ork?

  14. Some say he has never heard of a paragraph, and that he babbles on about shite that nobody else understands. We know him only as "The Fogump"

  15. Like your style......there are many of us from Ork....in many different forms....from elves to demons...we all love to play...( and we change from one to the other in an instant.)....para's don't concern us....we move quickly......( with our guardian angels always even quicker ahead:cool:)....which is one reason the PP appeals as a steed...:upyeah: Our motto is"Te l'o fata!" meaning, ( not quite the same as " shite " ) .. "I did it to you"....ROFL.... and we're all fcukn  from Ork .....come ride with any of us.....anywhere....we speak " shite" amongst our many languages....but only in response to others who know nothing else to speak.......

NEW PARA .... nearly forgotten as I've had so much FUN playing in this forum....only joined to see if anyone could find some high level mounting brackets for aux lights....we're scared of the dark we Ork'ies....no one knew anything...ergo...there aren't any ( yet ) for 2013 PP Multi's...so between dealer pal technicians and myself we've created something...no IP...freely available to all when job's done.

PS : ( oh shit, another para ) we mainly live on Midget Gems ( Lyon original Brand only ) and Chocolate Hob-Nobs...

  16. I'm still not sure if he is for or against GS's?

    Makes me laugh though!

  17. Thoughtful of you on the 'marmite ' subject  and a SOH too...

  19. Agreed...it's not " nothing "...it's an adventure:smile:...depends on your perspective:smile:....most times I climbed a technical winter north face ice route, or ride a 1 to2 -day enduro round , cross the Sahara or some other wilderness area again, or even local ACU Trials I wonder JWTF I'm doing it for occasionally....and then I ...and know it's an adventure....

  20. What a cracking thread this is. Best read I've had in a long time.
Full of total B******s, but its put a smile on my face :)

Fogump, its great your passoinate about riding, adventure riding, etc etc, but have a thought for the noise your making on someone elses thread. Why not just start your own thread ?

Richard, a couple of guys I know have gone from MTS12 to the new GS-LC. Both seem to be very happy, and went in eyes-open, so knew the performance differences. As long as you do that then there is no reason to be disappointed.
I'm tempted to take a test ride but more out of curiosity, just so I can form my own opinion rather than blindly sprout those of Journos etc.
Someone mentioned comfort (Bradders ?). The GS is the most comfortable bike my wife has been on, but that said, as a pillion she prefers the MTS, and thats good enough for me :)
