This is true by the way... So the wife says to me this morning "Lets play that game where you put a post-it on your forehead with a name on, and you have to guess who it is" So she posts her note on my forehead and after confirming it's a "He" and that "Yes he's retired" I ask "was he a Politician?" - answer "Yes" "Was he Labour?" - answer "Yes" So after six more guesses of retired male Labour politicians, I give up. "Ok, who is it then?" "Arthur Scargill"
Fuck me.....................took me 1.5 hours to do one and now I've got a friggin' blister on my thumb. I've not had a blister since I was a kid!! Second chair (of six) tomorrow if I can be arsed
I'm running out of jobs to do to keep myself busy so treated the timber on the workshop and oiled the decking.
Fitted extra lighting in the garage. Nice and bright now. Now what to do,,, oh yeah, bloody decorating.
Tried to get rear wheel off 1098, used hefty rattle gun but didn't budge so decided to leave it 'til tomorrow and fired up the petrol powered hedge trimmer and attacked the back garden for half an hour before taking pity on the neighbours who may not appreciate a screaming little 2 stroke , found the missing pivot bolt for the alternator on the car so might have a go at that tomorrow for a couple of hours but starting to struggle on the enthusiasm front and that's with still working until lunchtime each day with afternoons to do what I like.
Sanity reinstalled ,i was determined to have the 1st rideout this year, the roads were delightful apart from those potholes still left over from October last year ..but the backside was twitching away as i came close to 5 police vehicles, the worst was the number 2 landrover discovery on the return trip, understandable i was in his carrigeway as i'd just overtaken two cars that were following a HGV,who said Ducati's mirrors don't work. ..also upside down camera work from yesterday.
Rinse of under the shower with hot water, works a treat, let it dry for a day , no need for dry cleaning and spending a day on it.
Thanks for the tip. I did try the karcher on it after the air compressor but to no avail. Anyway, at present time is on my side
Hmmmm, I use scalding hot water from the shower and that rinse it really clean , have done that for years with a Miele , now Bosch, never failed to get clean, 5 minute job, do it every 3/4 months or so, have you last tried to clean it in 1999?
I just completed one of those internet apps which tells you how long you're gonna live. Guess who is going to lived to 87, and isn't in quarantine any more???
