true that.... with my bike being all black and white the black screen suits it better than the clear in my eyes. your bike looks lovely mate and i think the standard screen does look better on it for sure.
Got the chain on, adjusted up and torqued up the pinch bolts. after trying most chain tools and never being happy I bought the DID style one from JT. Bloody brilliant piece of equipment!
Arrrghhhh. Stop it. Every time you post I think, ohh, I should do that. Yesterday i had to take the bloody headlight out again to do the black paint that nobody ever sees. You are killing me PS - interesting choice on rear tyre size, 60 section rather than 55 (ignoring the 180/190 argument for a moment). Care to comment?
Great read that thoroughly enjoyed it.Its a credit to you. is there a location or set of search criteria you used to turn up the bike in the first place ? There is also a 998 r project ongoing on here and just wondering if they are advertised somewhere in particular?
Thats the issue with these things, there is always something that can be done! The blacking can be seen, without you realising that you can see it. It creates a dark separation between the lens and the fairing inside and outside the lens - if that makes sense. You would only really notice if you had 2 bikes side by side but it does make a difference.. The tyre, I had read somewhere that the 60 profile as it gives you a larger contact patch has a sharper cornering feel and just generally feels nicer. Thought I'd give it a try is the honest answer, I dont expect to notice any difference as I'm not exactly a fast rider!
This one wasnt on ebay or anything like that. It was on another forum, the guy was pondering selling it and we had been incontact for a round a year before he decided to let it go. A lot of the times these things change hands without being up for sale too - my mates 748R-02 as an example, not for sale anywhere, sat for 10 years, picked up for an absolute steal.
Looks great. You’ve actually inspired me to strip the front of mine down and give it a good clean up! Thanks for the post
Tonight’s job, new pots, lines and clips and new fluids/bleeding. £48 for all the pots, hoses and clips. Great improvement for the spend
Sdoc100 is the best motorbike cleaner I’ve ever used. Amazing stuff. It’s like a thick gel that clings to the bike and dissolves all manner of shite and is safe on the whole bike the bilt hamber auto wheels is an alloy wheel cleaner that is black magic
