  6. KTM tend to offer big discounts if one is patient to wait 1 year after the model release....mate bought a brand new 2020 1290SuperAdventure with all the extras fitted for £14500 think this is £2000under the list price. I purchased 4 exc enduro KTM's in the last 3 years, all bought with £1000 under the list price.

  7. Never been a fan my mates got 1 brand new had it a few months and blew up ktm dealer had it for months then another make got 1 brand new and it had to go bk twice ....they just look so cheaply built

  9. Isn't the 790 suspension non adjustable, and the only official upgrade currently being the rather nice WP Apex which is £1660 (£1500 odd if you shop around) saying that there might well be other options, but its definitely something to think about additional cost wise as that was the one thing that let the 790 down in nearly all reviews i recall

    https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesoci...reetline-suspension-review-price-spec-verdict

I reckon with the better suspension, taller seat height (for me at 6ft 3) and extra torque and BHP, the 890 is still pretty reasonable when you consider the competition. Saying that hold out until October/November you'll still get a deal on the 890r, maybe enough to cover the full system akra :)

  10. I’m just a chipper bud, I couldn’t tell what I’d need to adjust for a given result if my life depended on it so that upgrade is a non starter. Everything else the 790 does it all for me, when I spoke to dealer when my 790 was in for service he said the 890 engine has way more low down grunt.

When I bought the 790 I really wanted a 950 tard but they were stellar money compared with the 6850 I paid for the 790. For me at the price the 890 is I’d take the 950 tard instead, the 790 at my price point is spot on.

203km on the clock for under £10k, what’s not to like, apart from maybe the maaahooosive exhaust :)

  13. Fair comment that, and at that money for the 790 there's really no grumble at all :upyeah:

Still, i reckon KTM are on to something, they might be smaller capacity but plenty of grunt on the road, sound great, i mean what else is there for that sort of money with that sort of attitude?

A Scrambler costs about that doesnt it, or there abouts.
