ive always found that attaching them to the ends of the pipes works best for me..great sound and they look the nuts. btw, i love ur avatar...you duke looks like my beloved preshhhhusss..
speak to people at your local dyno and ask them what works, I did their advice was find the best deal you can on ebay because there was little if any noticeable difference between different brands of pipes on a given engine configuration note this was on a 900ss / monster engine with cut airbox power commander and they could tell plus minus one horsepower exactly what they would get from changing the pipes before they commenced work, maybe more expensive dukes are more sensititive to different pipes, no doubt somebody will come along later with a sound argument to nullify the above
