Morning all, I am thinking of putting an aftermarket exhaust on my 2015 DVT, any suggestions, or comments would be appreciated (cost , value, etc) Cheers
I've got an Arrows full system on my 2015 DVT. It is terrific, gives a great sound, not too loud, not too soft, and not too harsh. I bought it four years ago and it cost me about 800 Euros from Italy. Easy to fit too.
The DVT is the only bike I have ever owned where I have been happy to keep the OE system. I love the look of the twin silencers and it keeps the racket down ...a novelty for me really since almost every other system I have run has been loud. I have yet to see a system or end can that to me at least - looks as good as the OEM twin pipes.
I do agree with what your saying, I am thinking while filtering through traffic the extra noise does help ! I also like the look of the twin pipes, maybe there’s a carbon cover or something similar worth looking at. Thanks for opinion, it’s appreciated
I have looked for the same thing. I found a carbon twin pipe setup for the earlier 1200's for sale in the York area but have seen nowt for the DVT models. The silencers change shape between earlier and later models That is something I would look to do too
Yes, I was thinking the same thing, I have found some just by googling it, I can’t seem to find a price at the minute or where they are sold, just pics so far. I’m going to keep looking , because as you mentioned, the double pipes do look good,
Have finally found the perfect exhaust setup for my 1200 dvt. It is a Spark Titanium De-Cat Header coupled with the new Termignoni D193 Pikes Peak tail pipe. Both fit together like they were made for each other. The Spark comes with a db killer and the bike now sounds sweet.
Certainly cheaper than the official full Termi and far far better looking imo. End can was about £600 and header another £700. Runs great too and I havent done any fueling mods. Much stronger than stock in the midrange from my seat of the pants dyno.
IME the slip on Termi is a bit less harsh sounding to the OE vertically stacked pipes. The slip on is post-cat' so the sound increase is negligible, but the tone is a bit more sonorous.
I don't have any good ones of it on the bike. I'm waiting for in a delivery at the mo but I'll take some tomorrow. In the meantime here's some of it before fitting and one on the bike though the exhaust wasn't the subject of the photo.
I don't remember the vendor but I got it from Italy. Take your pick from these. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_...+exhaust+pipe+for+Ducati+multistrada&_sacat=0 The full decat system doesn't seem to have increased in price much. At the time I found the Nichrom to be better value then the Titanium cans which only saved a handful of grams, whist the Aluminium ones were cheapest but softer and more susceptible to damage. It's only the skin on the can that's different, a bit of bling, the rest is all stainless.
