Had a BBQ this evening, enjoying the very pleasant late afternoon/early evening warmth with a few beers. When the evening chill started to set in, we decamped into the house and had rhubarb and apple crumble with cherry bakewell clotted ice cream. Andy
More bloody weeding today. This time it was down the footpath to the house leading from the main road...about 20 metres of gravel bed. Zzzzzzz! Tomorrow, it's wallpapering, then if the seeds arrive we've turned our back garden into Tom & Barbara's allotment, to start growing our own veg, in preparation for the zombie apocalypse.
I’m waiting for stuff to be delivered so I can finish stuff off in the garden whilst the weather is decent. And the earliest it’s now going to be Saturday for deliveries.
Got a nip through the post from 18th March when I picked an off road bike up, 60 in a variable 50 on the M1, £100 and 3 points. Shouldn`t have even been on the M1, I missed a sign and the sat nav said turn off, so I ended up coming off the M62, driving down some country roads and then back onto the M1, don`t know what the feck the sat nav was thinking. Not to bothered really, I`ve been lucky over the years, and it`s all part of the game. The best one I`ve got away with was a few years ago, coming back from Cadwell heading home, a stretch of road that had recently been dropped to 50. I just carried on regardless and noticed a police car in a lay by, the copper was in front of his car carrying a tripod, he must have heard me, then he saw me, I only saw him for a second but he was hopping from one foot to the other, I don`t think he knew whether to set his tripod up or jump in his car and give chase, funny as. I am a bit disappointing that my first points since the early noughties wasn`t on a bike but in a van..........a fecking white van at that.
They have a 10% discount code on anything that isn`t already discounted up to April 30th. SBSAPR10 if anyone is interested.
I've looked at those, look a lot like supertech r, but a lot cheaper. Be interesting too hear what you think of them. How do they fit around the calfs? I have trouble getting boots to fit around the calfs and supertech r are the only ones I have found that fit
They fit ok for me but I dont have particularly chunky calves. I also tried them with my one piece on to see they were ok with them tucked inside and they were They are a little bit stiff at first but I'm sure they'll bed in ok (reviews online say that too). I also sat on the V2 in them and they seemed good positionally. I'll do a proper review when we are released from "house arrest"
Bored so looking at mobile phones and noticed O2 has not renewed it's arrangement with carphone warehouse and the agreement finished 10 days ago. So no more O2 through cpw
I own my phone and use giff gaff, flexible and really good value, and the only one that works well around here.
After the carnage I created while metal bashing in the dining room I thought I best make a fresh start and have a tidy up today
Fitted a CRC fairing kit to the 996. Probably a couple of kilos less than the stuff that was already on.
Just weighed the 996 for a laugh. Showing 170 kg with a gallon of petrol admittedly using bathroom scales. 150 rwhp...
Just ordered a Phal for tea and a Vindaloo for the freezer - going to pick it up now (still doing shop orders here and not just deliveries)
