Spent the afternoon on the roof lining up my motorized system (1m dish) when it gets really windy it can get blown out of alignment (weve got a loft room so i can literally get out of the velux and be standing next to it)...all good though....painting the back of the house tomorrow.....made a start on leveling up my sagging patio yesterday but ran out of sand and cement....have to wait for the lock down to finish til i can get on with that...
Just spent twenty minutes helping the wife look for a bar of Galaxy chocolate which I ate last night. I'm not sure how this is gonna work out, as I can't blame the dog anymore (she died in January)
I reckon the wife has undergone a religious conversion - I caught her praying last night for the local hairdresser to re-open
When the phone rang today at 5pm, I had to tell the caller to ring back after an hour cos I was busy cleaning the groceries
I went into the local store this morning and after picking up the daily paper asked the owner behind the counter for a Twirl and a Boost.. He span round and said.. “You look fantastic, have you lost weight?"
Managed to hobble to the bathroom for morning ablutions but have yet to meet the challenge of the stairs. I guess breakfast and the first coffee of the day will have to be a little bit later today. Hey, ho Andy
Opened the door to the Postie with a parcel for me. I think he was only doing parcels though as he was in a Transit with a face mask (Him, not the Transit) He said they asked for volunteers to work Bank Holiday as they are so far behind. I'm only getting 3 deliveries a week here now.
Just read this and thought of @Robarano https://www.independent.co.uk/life-...ought-that-you-couldnt-let-go-of-9743847.html
Are you suggesting my buddy Robarano is a nutter! Oi, Robarano the nutter he's suggesting you're a nutter, nutter.
You're right. Right now I'm thinking if I leave it until 12 o'clock to water the hanging baskets, then I'll get away with one soaking today instead of 2. It's been in my head for an hour. Is that not normal?
We’ve had deliveries every day except the public holidays. Our postie is ace. She’s always smiling, and will have been a bit of a looker 20 years ago. Nice pair of legs too
I've been avoiding the major supermarkets for weeks now, as i don't do queuing ever, but to my surprise i walked straight in this morning at 9.30 and within ten minutes completed the task & out of the door.
Opened a letter which was delivered on Saturday, a cheque for £8-34 , £3-34 plus £5 goodwill gesture from my previous energy supplier. Hope it doesn't expire before I can get to the bank!!
Do you have a banking app? Some apps will let you take a picture of the cheque and bank it that way. I know Lloyds does up to a value of £500
@El Toro Wow,everyday is a school day on this forum roadshow for me,i just might need head expansion surgery at the end of it.
