There is/was a concern that the Corona virus could be transmitted by handling contaminated bank notes. Andy
Agreed but the jury's out on this one,but what about all the goods on the supermarket shelves that are contaminated then.?
That and surveillance seems to have got a foot in the door, can’t imagine the government reining it in after the pandemic.
As someone that has always walked around with cash in his pocket for over three decades,i'd be given the choice & freedom what form of payment that i choose to use and not be dictated by the government.
It won’t be government that stop the cash, it’ll be market forces. Cashpoints are getting fewer as the cost to move actual cash gets expensive and the amount withdrawn deminishes. I love cash nothing like handing over a big wedge to buy something but it will go. Mate of mines a car dealer won’t take cash anymore it’s too much hassle. Just the way things will become I’m afraid bud.
Cash for cars and bikes here is gone years all electronic but still cash is widely used ! I refuse it all the time no private customer seems to want to pay vat @23%
I never ever use a hole in wall, outside or inside & always go and speak to friendly human cashier's making a withdrawal.Stop the rot or the government will control your every move in the future.
Yep, from a clients point of view he’s paying tax twice, I try and do work on my house as much as poss only large purchase was a concrete pad for my garage. I just didn’t fancy it after do the clearing of the land was just straightforward for them they’d got all the tools and know how locked in.
I don’t use counter services the forks charge me to count cash over the counter so I use their internal cashpoints.
