Maybe. We'll see. I work in commercial real estate and if the indicative prices are correct (and they might not be because there is no liquidity) then I would be very concerned. Hopefully it's a temporary blip and the whole thing fades away over the coming six months
History says prices will go up though prices had dropped over the last year or so with a stronger stock market...
I can see lots of strange fires, thefts & other insurance jiggery ahead !! Good friend is a FX broker & the big money punters he deals with are piling into essentials like food, utilities, things the great unwashed can't do without. 30% unemployment is the conservative figure they are working to across the UK & Europe.
Things only lose (or make) value when you sell them or loan money against them. Otherwise, they’re all worthless
If you look really closely he’s put an Ohlins steering damper on it - hence the claim - still massively misleading. To be honest if anyone paid that kind of money for it without doing their homework then they deserve to be ripped off. I just wouldn’t want to be on track with them - the phrase ‘dangerously stupid’ springs to mind!
Stand back - it's a Harvey Davidson....... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Harvey-Davidson/264700063455?hash=item3da15a6edf:g:nqkAAOSwtQ5elhRU
If it helps: Nice wheels, horrid screen, mirrors not original, seat - has he got BIP seat as well? Screen difficult to find. C£120. Mirrors black c£60. BIP seat unit c£150. I’d be thinking £3500 ish in the day’s before lockdown. So, god knows what now.
That does help for costings at least. I noticed the screen, seat and mirrors. Thought the front mudguard should be red too? He hasn’t had it long apparently which always sets alarm bells off for me
he might be in a bind with the current situation hence not had long, my mate has owned bikes for very short periods of time but then he looks after his stuff. It wouldn’t necessarily ring alarm bells for me but I’d be more cautious, I bought a Hypermotard from a guy who hadn’t owned it long turned out fine.
