Are we loosing MotoGP from the BBC?

  1. I love the BBC and I'm happy to pay for my TV license. I'd like them even more if they stopped using the Sex Offenders Register as a recruiting tool.

  2. The deal is done. MotoGP moving to BT Vision next year. You'll have to have Sky or BT Broadband to watch it now.

  3. the greasy ba $ tards

  4. Thanks for the info MrAlit, thats me not watching live next year then. I will have to pay to sit on my settee watching the goldfish at some point soon at this rate................

  5. There's no MGP on TV at all this year in NZ, so I know how you feel  :frown:

  6. Can it be watched online for free? I have an Apple TV so if I can watch it in hd on the mac I can push it over to the TV.

  7. It's going to make me switch from Virgin broadband to BT I expect. Not the end of the world as long as I don't have to give money to Murdoch :upyeah:

  8. The BT offering is terrible. My mum has it and its rubbish. No channels, rubbish box, poor signal.

It's just a free view box with a couple of extra channels throught the Internet connection. So if you're not near the exchange you can't watch the online stuff easy

  9. I always watch it on eurosport.
And only live (moto 3/2 ) sometimes.
Sometimes there's so much with BSB /WSB and motogp on a weekend that I cant possibly watch it all , so I tend to skip the middle parts of races (Unless I see a crash) , although I always watch the whole off the motogp race. I really like the build up with the camera on the grid with Toady and Gillian giving all the info
So as long as Eurosport dont lose it then I'm okay.

  10. Anyone got Eurosport player ? l looked at it but baulked at the compulsory continuous payment mandate on my credit card with the onous on me to cancel before the end of the contract. 2 subscritptions, £4.99 a month with no cancellation fee or £2.99 a month for a minium of 12 months and if you don't remember to cancel you automatically pay the higher rate. Andy

  11. Not only has the bbc lost moto gp but yes BT has got exclusive rights for 5 years BBC Sport - MotoGP: BT Sport secures TV rights from 2014 in five-year deal Trouble is if you havent got bt infinity optic fiber lines you wont get it . Only about 20% of the country has this so theres going to be a lot of streaming going on. On another note Toby Moody , Julian Rider Niel Spalding etc have all lost there jobs.

  12. what a cluster *uck:mad:

  13. Where have you seen that? Got a link?

  14. Current understanding is that Eurosport 1 & 2 will still be covering WSB and BSB but no Moto GP, Moto 2 or 3 in the UK. BT TV has secured the sole rights for the UK for 5 years and at this point in time Eurosport has no dialogue for shared rights with BT. Did someone say Cluster *uck - you're not joking. Andy

  15. Ar...thats the end of GP in the UK then :upyeah:

    well done Dorna

An official statement from British Eurosport said: “British Eurosport is disappointed that MotoGP series rights holder Dorna has decided to change its strategy from 2014 onwards in the UK.
"We are proud to have covered MotoGP for many years and thank our respected commentary team of Toby Moody, Julian Ryder, Neil Spalding and Steve Day along with the team behind the scenes for making that coverage so popular with bike fans.

This must mean that they've lost their jobs commentating on the MotoGP. They will still probably work for Eurosport and commentate on the speedway etc. but this was their main job.

Jake Humphrey's is BT's sports commentator but you never know they could get to work for BT too.

  19. I imagine Swiss national TV will still have it: they show all the GP3, 2 and MotoGP races.

But I will miss Parrish and Cox (nyaaa nyaaa nyaa-nyaa nyaaa!)

  20. I also see Tech 3 have been talking to espagaro to replace Cal
No point having a brit on a good bike you can't watch!!

Kenny roberts once came up with a breakaway series and this time i hope it happens!
