Rose-tinted glasses reminds me of the classic Jack Vance tale, The Eyes of the Overworld. Said Eyes were violet-coloured lenses worn by some villagers who were living in abject poverty and squalor, with filth and poor food and wretched accommodations. However, wearing these Eyes meant that the wearers perceived themselves to be living in the lap of luxury, in some sort of magnificent utopia. Vance was a visionary author and appears to have successfully predicted the state of the modern Labour Party in this tale.
Quiz - about the millionaire quiz show scandal. Very good, though shot to cast some doubt which is bold given ITV aired the show.
White House Farm. A 6 part mini series of the Jeremy Bamber murders. It was on a while back and only got round to watching today.
Harlots - so far very good and has Hugh Skinner (Will in Channel 4’s The Windsor’s) who is just brilliant in all he’s in. Won’t spoil it but he has a real WTF moment in episode one that’s funny.
