Can you wheelie a shaftie?

  1. There's been numerous threads about this subject on other forums. All inconclusive.

What do you think? And what proof do you have?

  2. Didn't that bloke used to wheelie a z1300? Doug domocos or something like that.

  3. I've had the front end up a few times on my K1300s !!

  4. Well...

  6. GS1200 bimmer. Easy up

  7. Having just finished a love affair with a vfr1200, I can positively say yes, you can, proof? Ask my mrs, I still have the bruises

  8. I've pulled the occasional wheelie on my GS with Mrs CJ on the back, at the traffic light GP.

    No proof sadly

  10. Absolutely:upyeah:

  11. Maybe but I'm certain plenty of shaft drives can be wheelied. Many years ago I had a Z1000ST, it wasn't a wheelie-monster by any means but could still get it up...

  12. Can I ask? Why would you want to???

  13. More to the point, what kind of biker wouldn't want to ? :upyeah:

  15. Accidentally wheelied my XJ900F when I started to get a tank-slapper induced by cats-eyes. Gave it full throttle and up came the front. I was waggling the bars in utter panic at that point. The BMW driver I was over-taking at the time must have been wetting himself.

Not my finest moment, but it did avert the tank-slapper :upyeah:

  16. Bradders I stand to be corrected. You sorted out your bike for donny yet?
