  1. It’s so he can claim furlough during lockdown.

  2. Won't one of the assets to be sold, be the company name?

  3. Possible, but it could be a hindrance as suppliers may not want to deal, again, with such a lame duck

  4. This isn't Norton Motorcycles that is now in administration:

  6. If NMC Ltd goes bust instead of Norton Motorcycles, does that protect the value of the company name?

  7. Read the articles published by John hogan on the superbike site. The main company was registered as Norton Motorcycles LTD, Garner created Norton MC in the last months as it was all going wrong presumably as some sort of dodge to give himself some way of protecting some assets, just like he sold off the engine rights and templates for the 961 in December and the administrators are saying they don’t see that as part of it as it was already a done deal, despite the money from the IP sales being available in the business accounts

  8. The above company was going to be struck off - the director change avoided that action by the looks of it...

  9. The man is a shyster and is as dishonest as the day is long, nothing more, nothing less. Andy

  10. This is where the UK is utterly shite in bringing charges to people like him.

It shouldn’t be hard, seeing as he is a UK resident. It’s extremely hard when they aren’t UK residents but this shouldn’t be difficult.

  11. Think he was referencing the keys to the many cars :(

  12. To my mind, if garner has done something, it's likely well dodgy.
What happened to those pensions is reprehensible.

  13. Irrepsective of the whys and wherefores, I would think that the name "Norton" is so tarnished as to be worthless.:poop:

  14. The receiver is still waiting for a statements of affairs, i suspect that Messrs Garner and Skinner are slowing the process down with a view to have all potential purchasers fall away leaving themselves to buy back assets a knockdown price and start again. Mrs Garner will be Director as Garner and Skinner are likely to be banned from being directors for a while. not forgetting of course that they might be on 'Holiday' for a few years as well.

  15. It may very well be the Administrators have instructed Garner to change the name from Norton MC Ltd to NMC123 ltd on the basis Norton MC Ltd is too close too and therefore confusing with Norton Motorcycles Ltd which they are trying to administer and presumably sell as an entire business.

  16. Deal has been done and announced this afternoon. TVS have purchased Norton for an undisclosed amount believed to be about £16million
