  1. Advert says it's done over 4 million miles from new. That seems a lot to me.

    Beauty, though. Like it.

  2. Saw that,guess its a typo

  3. If it's 4400 miles from new it looks good compared to a couple I've seen for sale recently - seem to remember circa £15,000 to £17,000 asking prices. Of course this is probably dealers pushing the boundaries which is happening a lot recently. STOP PRESS: just checked as I thought I'd seen one on Car & Classic web site: asking price is £20,000!

  4. Yep, £12K is on the cheap side for one of those I'm afraid.

  5. A bike is worth what anyone is prepared to pay for it.

I wouldn't be prepared to pay 15 large for that.

  6. So as it's 12.63 large will you be buying it?

  7. No.

There are umpteen bikes I'd prefer for that money.

I never thought it looked that good. What's it's key selling point, that it's rare? So are plenty of bikes - it doesn't make them sought after. I don't really understand why the Santa Monica should be so in vogue.

  8. Agree completely, I woulden't buy it for half that price. Bound to be some collector with more money than sense out there.

  9. and 15 years ago I sold my F1 for £3.5K :frown: I should've just tucked it to the back of the garage as I'd love to have it now. To be honest, even if I found it again I wouldn't pay the £10K+ it would cost me to buy it back.

  10. i have seen the standard F1 for sale and get sold for 15000€ these days so i think that is a very good price for a santa monica.
i think the Montjuic is the most sought after one.

    henk!!!
