He told me, that’s how it is.... hopefully you’ll get a different response... please let me me know, how you get on.. Thanks
Hi all, I have just had a phone call from Garry at Evotech, he explained to me there was an issue with the first batch of bolts, in the refitting of the rubber bungs on the mirror arms, the latest batch has remedied/rectified the problem, these bolts are manufactured in house, Garry has assured me that a kit of new bolts will be sent out to me, to rectify the problem, he said there may be a slight delay due to the current lockdown, but hopefully will be sooner rather than later, I hope this helps everyone with the oversized bolts
What I need now is a report of a drop test with these fitted, see how they fared, and whether they truly protect the hand guards
On speaking with Garry, at Evotech, he told me that they liked the bike so much they bought it, with plans in the pipeline to make more accessories for it, I would imagine a drop-down test would be mandatory to check the durability of the product, I am sure if you drop him an email he will answer the concern!
That's a decent response from a manufacturer, who ought to get in touch with all suppliers, to advise them of the issue and to provide further bolt sets to help deal with this design flaw. Maybe they will, but then again..........
I've had a response from Garry at EP, advised me, he will send the bolts out Circa 3 weeks... If we're all alive by then!. Thanks for getting back onto EP, Bob
I can confirm that without bark busters the plastic loop holding the indicators breaks like an egg shell. So I too would be interested in how they stand up to a fall with bark busters.
just got a post update from USPS ... the Evotech handguard protectors finally made it here from England ... after 2 weeks, they are now in Chicago ... so I should hopefully get them here in California by next week.
still awaiting the arrival of the Evotech handguard protectors that I ordered almost a month ago. the shipment left England on April 29th ... and has been bouncing around what seems like every fecking US post office distribution center since then.
