  1. sorry fella didnt get that ??

  2. Strange.
Ok - pm me back. I have coil I can lean you if that helps. (based in Swindon)

  3. the 1199 is a bit prone to the vibration and heat cycles on the wiring. have a quick look on the BBS connector under the seat, remove and see if all the pins are clean and not corroded, and refit. i had some strange issues after i built my bike back up and most was harness issues.

  4. stupid question ,,,how do you get the bbs unit out..removed the rubber cover from frame but cant slide the dam thing out .

  5. If no errors displayed it’ll be a coil pack or HT lead failing IMO. Had this on several bikes, will be fine at idle but run rough or even cut out completely under load.

When a Panni drops a cylinder at speed, you definitely know about it!

I’d hold off removing anything else until you can try another coil pack / lead.

  6. Fuel filter, same symptoms on my 999 and 996, fuel filter ( in the tank) both times

  7. My symptoms were, starts fine, ticks over fine runs ok but as soon as you ask for revs it seems like it misfires

  8. Simply just remove and replace the fuel filter .. Add seafoam or water removing additive ... The reason there is no warning light electrical system is functional sound ... Impurities build up in the tank and sometimes make it past the filter which is designed too remove particles not fluids ...

  9. cheers bud ..nice member lending me coil pack to try today

  10. Correct me if I am wrong but there is no changeable fuel filter on a Panigale, from memory you have to replace the whole fuel pump as it’s built into that.

  11. The filter is inside the pump, not supposed to be serviceable. I seem to remember someone opening one up to clean it. I also remember a post re removal and blasting trough with carb'/brake cleaner and compressed air.
All of the above could have been a mushroom induced fantasy...

  12. well ok have nearly come to the end of this now .big thanks to gary for the loan of coil pack..made no change ...fuel pump out flushed through and dried ..have now checked flapper valve (pain) but in situ...must be fuel !!!!!!! so best additive to clean injectors?, and do you just add this to the fuel ??

  13. Do you know anyone well enough to just swap fuel tank over, Inc fuel pump?

  14. when i did my 1199 rebuild i had the same issues. tickover was fine, throttle application the motor felt like the choke was on ( feeling) and wouldnt rev.
i had a MAP code in the ecu but no engine light, and after i disconnected a few main harness connections and cleaned and re-seated them the bike was ok.
remember the bike is using CAN Bus tech, and shares Resources ( ecu's) on the bike to carry out functions.
the BBS unit is not just a traction control module, but integrated as part of a system.

go back to basics, and visually check all your connections including the left hand handle bar switch cabling.
so far i have had to replace the throttle unit cable connector, fan power plug, all the harness suspension connectors, and the 8 way plug linking the rear harness to the main.
from what i can remember the MAP sensors are used to assist in the transition from low throttle to open throttle, and this also sounds like an similar issue..
but when you solve it, please let us know what the solution was :)

  15. no fella not that lucky ,,very rare to find someone in swindon with a panigale

  16. thanks fella yea will do ...i want to get hold of map sensor to try that ...problem is everyones ideas and comments make compete sense ...here we go again lol.........thanks everyone for there input so far ...its a big big help

  18. OK boys latest update ...had new map sensor come through replaced but no joy ….swapped coils over no joy ...now pissed off... I put the bike back together with all fresh fluids …..started it up seemed ok ..so fuck it took... it up on the duel carriageway ...through the gears all ok....topped tank up with v plus (for the third time) another spanking without getting nicked and shes fine ffs ??????? massive thanks to all of you and especially gary for loan of coil... and ben ..outstanding knowledge....lets hope she don't fuck me over again !!!!!

  19. it may have taken a run to reset any internal failure that was registered.
most of the ECU's do a cyclic check and it may well be the the Map sensor or the coil wasnt picked up until the bike was ridden.
if its ok on the next ride, put the Map sensor back in and see if it plays up again.
