The Cyclists/ebikers

  1. Is it stuck in 3rd gear for full authenticity?

  2. Looks like I am the only one with a Focus bike, made in Germany. Mine is an Izalco Pro 3.0.

  3. Back on this torture device tomorrow. I’ve decided.
It’s a bit out of date but still a quality bit of kit. Carbon frame and integrated seat post, DuraAce throughout and Mavic Ksyrium wheels. I got in pretty good shape a couple of years back and was encouraged to race (which I didn’t). And I won’t be racing tomorrow.... I’ll most definitely be bait for all the Lycra clad hoards out there.... Wish me luck- I’m going in!!

  4. Liking the radial spokes on the front wheel, I’m not a great fan of Shimano preferring Campagnolo. Just do the unthinkable wait for a group to pass you and jump on the back of the train;). Good Luck

  11. My Felt roadie has Shimano Tiagra with 11-32 cassette which is great for those pesky hills - big improvement over my old Carlton Continental 5 speed (shifter on down tube)! Great to see so many cycles/cyclists on the forum.:)

  12. Out and about on my old bus. Nothing fancy, but enjoying getting me out the house/office.
Planning a long one for the weekend.

  14. I’m not sure that sentiment is shared as much as it could be I guess some forget the sense of freedom a cycle bestowed on them before motorbikes or never had that sensation.;)

I had a Carlton back in the late 70’s, think they ended up in the Raleigh brands.

  17. Good morning ladies ( I think it's morning in the UK, or nearly), new to DF and was directed here for the other addiction of bicycles ( it just never feckin ends,,,,,).
I have a few....., mostly vintage, mostly track, mostly Italian.
But my Merckx caught the eye of DucatiScud on another thread so I'll start with that, it's Corsa 60cm frame with original livery, Campy running gear, Mavic bullhorns, and a set of vintage Hi-Fi 110 mm carbon dish rims I picked up in LA a while back.
I also have a beautiful Holdsworth Pro Track that took 3 years to build up from a frameset purchased on Pedalroom.
Beauty bike, started out as a set of Orange Wolber tires from Ebay, another story.
    Cheers,
    Murph

  18. 60cm, crumbs I’m ickle at 54 square. From folklore it said that Merckx builds his bikes the way Colnago taught him.

Yeah if you have the cycle addiction bad best to avoid 2nd hand shops, cycle jumbles and eBay at all times.

I have a rusty heap of a Holdsworth that I bought on eBay but have yet to start sadly.

  19. It's the only freedom/escapism/exercise available to many/me at the moment. I've certainly put some timber on my legs, as well as discovering lots of new places in my 'hood.
