I don’t see why it would not fit a standard 749. The listing probably says it’s not suitable as it needs a mono seat etc (which I believe you have evenly bought?) therefore it should be fine.

When I had my 749s mono I took subframe etc off and swapped it for a standard one so could take my son pillion,straight swap,used existing seat,just needed standard tail piece as well as mono subframe is shorter.....swapped it back to mono when sold bike,
