1200 Multisrada 1200 2013 Seat Riser Kit

  1. Good afternoon all. I hope you're all keeping safe? Like others I'm spending my time doing all the little jobs I wouldn't normally get round to. Only managed a couple of ill-fated outing before the madness hit. I'm over 6 foot so would like to try putting the seat risers on to see if this helps comfort? My 2013 1200S didn't come with any. There are some at a breakers on EBAY but the vendor says they won't fit a 2013? Is this right? Anyone have any they aren't using? Thanks for any help you can give. Cliff

  2. I dont believe the pre 15 bikes had adjustable seats...only the DVT onwards models

  3. Correct that pre DVT has no seat height adjustment. Depending on what your issue is with the height a possible solution is to add rear preload for more ride height?

  4. Well I did not know that? Thank you both for your replies. I think that is that problem solved! Standard seat height it is then!

  5. You could try going down to the foot pegs. Think I have seen adjustable foot pegs for our model. Think they were called vario.

  6. You could try an aftermarket seat like a Sargent. They're more comfortable, not as slippery or pitched toward the tank, and it's a bit wider which helps for taller riders. I'm 6' also with a 34" inseam and this worked for me

  7. Thank you. I've had Corbin on my last 5 bikes and they are awesome. Tried custom, gel, and sergeant but didn't help much. Another Corbin will be my longer term plan but at nearly £700 it'll have to wait a bit as I've just bought the bike and new gear. It's not too bad (it is really!) so I can put up with it as it is for now. Really poor design though! I've had other adventure bikes, enduro, and motocross bikes and never felt the position was as poor as this?

  8. The Ducati comfort seat pitches you far less forward than standard seat and is wider too butting up to the tank, opens your legs more!! Might be something to consider, whereabouts are you based?

  9. Hi Michel. I have the Ducati comfort seats fitted. Despite trying many I've never got comfortable on anything other than a Corbin so it probably isn't the seat? I'm a heavy lad and I think the really hard foam of the Corbin just suits me. Like I said: I've had them on lots of different bikes and wouldn't waste any more money on buying anything else. They are just ridiculously expensive! Don't think I'll be lucky enough to pick up a second hand one. Most never sell them unless they sell the bike.

  10. Rarer than hens teeth

  11. Have you considered an airhawk? Added comfort if you can get used to the slight squishy feeling.

  12. I have a lovely pair of Ducati performance seats for sale ‘touratech ‘
The do sit a bit higher than the stock seats ..

  13. As I said earlier I'm going to avoid spending anymore money on anything other than a Corbin. It has always been money wasted! I do think this is just me though as lots of people swear by other options. I'll be adding to the number of comfort seats for sale Geoffrey! If anyone is looking for the front and rear (you need to replace both on a 2013 I think?) Ducati comfort seats for a 2013 get in touch. Just have to find £700 for the Corbin now! I do think they could sell many more if the pricing was better? £700 really doesn't reflect what you get.

  14. I do also have a Corbin seat for my 2013 for sale as well ..

  15. PM for you Geoffrey (or I think so, I haven't tried sending one before?). Let me know you have received it?.

  16. This must be the messiah in disguise.

  17. Yes Michel. All sorted now thanks to Geoff. Lovely bloke to deal with too. Just need lockdown to end and get some trips sorted? I hope this weather stays through until September.
