I had an Super Duke - R and yep i loved it..raw as hell...and lumpy round town, but out on the road and track..loved it..i wouldnt recommend any self servicing on it..even an oil change requires intergalatic knowledge, i'd rather change the hyperspace drive unit on the deathstar!!
My thoughts exactly! I had a full titanium Akra system on mine, Power Commander, G2 throttle, but no amount of tweaking could fix the on/off lurching at low speed/low revs. On the open road and on track it was awesome, but I couldn't live with it around town so had to get rid of it. Still miss it though, looked cool as anything!
That's what it looked like when I sold it, with the standard exhaust (which weighed the same as a baby elephant!). It also had carbon Dymag's and a few other nice bits, I sometimes regret getting rid of it, but the lurching was driving me insane!
Welcome to the forum Danno. Don't I know you from somewhere else? Oh the Superduke forum, that's right :wink:. Still got my SDR, on the 4th year of my ownership and I still love it. Took it out on the roads around Oxford/Cheltenham this Wednesday, what a blast it is. First time it's been on the road since July last year, mainly due to our crap weather.
