Makes perfect sense then, the 765 will make a great track weapon, hope to catch up on a td sometime this year, guess they will be busy with all these credits to use up.
Keep us posted on what mods you make to the 765 for track, especially on the rear set front. I have one (765RS) and have r&g protection but that’s about it for now.
Yeah so reference the bike I'm on in my DP ill be taking it to near makes no difference to that spec. NL 765RS standards, and yes rear sets is the first hurdle but I'm waiting until I've got the bike in the garage until I order one single thing for it lol, believe the ones on that bike are SES. I've got a ktech rear shock, full set of Ducati track fairings, set of stands from that coy that makes the Duc performance one's and some rear sets for a V2 to offload lol. Tbf I've got 3 months of leave coming up which will involve being trapped at home, writing out ads on here and selling them on when I've exhausted my patience with Netflix will give me something to do.
Not the first thing you want to see when giving the bike its first wash.. Hurts throwing away an essentially brand new tire. But at least she´s clean now
It’s looks like it’s pretty central to the width of the tyre, I’ve a tyre fitter locally I trust and always ask if punctures like that can be patched and repaired. Never had an issue after a tyre has been repaired. RBW
I actually plugged the tire myself right now, and before you say anything i realize this is the absolute dumbest idea you could possibly do but i have to do certain miles before first service which is booked so i figure while i wait for the new tire, the 55mm socket, wheel stand etc i may as well give this a try. I´ll do a quick run in a couple minutes down to get some fuel in the bike and have a double check there on the pressures. The only reason i even remotely considered this idea was because of the hole being relatively close to the centerline of the tire and it being the rear tire. Again not something anyone should ever do, its dangerous enough riding motorcycles Also noticed my dealer put in 3 god damn bar in the front tire. 2,5 is what should be in the front (and rear)
I’d take that tyre off and fit a mushroom headed plug from the inside, that’ll let you complete your running in period plus a bit more. I’ve plugged a few for myself and mates and never had a problem
Yea probably should do it properly but was out for a couple hours now and it seems to hold pressure just fine. Still no guarantee though. It´ll do until the new tire, socket and wheel stand arrives. While i was fiddling with all that i also removed the reflexes from the brakes, then i fitted the ducati spacers kit to get rid of the throttle slop. Ordered some eazi grips and still waiting patiently on the futurismoto tail tidy/ mirror block-offs.
Anyone taken the reflectors off the front brakes? are the little adapter washers in the lower caliper bolt 5mm? are they the same as fitted to the 1299? I want to order an equivalent so I can remove my reflectors.

Do you V2 owners have a lid or cap on the hole in the roof in front of the cooler? Just behind the horn. I can see on the V4 in this video that is has a cap but i see mine is missing for some reason. mine is hollow also, it was covered on the 959/899 and the 1299, perhaps they decided to leave it open to make fitting stands easier. The pin that fits the 848 lower triple clamp is a bit small so hopefully the stand manufacturers will make some pin adapters soon to be able to use the front stands that mount up there
So, has anyone been adding any parts to their bikes while in Lockdown? I've fitted a smaller plate, evotech tail tidy, removed the reflectors and polished it about 20 times!
Anyone purchase a V2 lately? I'm on the verge of tying down a deal, just wondering once the current stock has depleted when new stock will arrive?
The first batches of bikes had been delivered to dealers around March, there were only a few more on the way at that point, however I am sure a new batch is sat waiting at Ducati UK ready for dealers, or maybe even just about delivered. It's not going to be a model where dealers sit without stock, and looking at eBay, a number of dealers are saying they have them, also there are ex demo's for sale it appears about £1k off list.
Yeah, I have been looking at both eBay and auto trader. Dealers that are advertising seem to only have one in stock, when they will get further stock in is questionable. I'm doing a px so an ex demo is not necessarily the better buy for me.
I've now placed my deposit and reserved my bike, anyone go for the extended warranty and any other options?
