  1. If you move, collect points or any other alteration that is needed to your licence, will see you with a new type.

  2. Free way of getting one then?! Lol

Points have been added before and they simply write them on in pen

  3. ... and enter them in a database in Swansea.

  4. ok from traffic police.....the expiry on your licence is only a requirement by dvla to make sure your pic is up to date and to tax you. it being out of date has no effect on your insurance nor your entitlement to drive nor will/should it give cause for concern from plod.

  5. hmmmmmm, you sure?

If something is out of date then it is regarded as a 'expired substantive'............and would incur points and fine.....

  6. that seems fairly conclusive :upyeah: I was going by what a serving traffic cop advised re stopping someone with an out of date licence.

  7. 5 days and new one arrived. Happy. Runs out in 5 yrs though!

  8. What's a driving license ?
As long as you've applied for a renewal, you are still entitled to drive.

  9. I was in the same boat. Couldn't find my old RED one, so applied on line.
Big brother said that they had my photo from my passport...could they use that...said yes, paid my money and 3 days later a new 2-part license, less the points I got in 1997. Too clean for my liking I'm sure I'm going to get some points with the Multistrada.
