Continued the R&D on the z1000 - to get more air in the front opened up the scoops which made a nice pleasant (power related surprise) - when we get out of lockdown...back to the dyno...bit of wet and dry round the edges to tidy it up...
Back spannering the 996 as it’s raining. I had previously had trouble getting the stub hub out. Much water was coming out of the hub with the pinch bolts loose. So today, with the help of a gentleman’s persuader I got it all apart. Minging old grease. Rust. Scores. A good clean, a bit of fine grit, fresh grease and it slides in and out with no pressure Or forcing at all. Bearings look ok too, nice and smooth. Well pleased with that.
Looking out of the window at the pouring rain and feeling very flat. Just received an email from Easy Jet cancelling my flight to Murcia in 2 weeks time, pretty much as expected.
