  1. So it’s an S with corse paint/stickers ?

I think I’d rather get an SP if it were the 1198

    IF I get something else

  2. It shows up as a White 1198 on an MOT check. :bucktooth: Also it's 1st MOT in 2019 with 154 miles? Strange indeed.

  3. It also has the tank and suspension if it's been souped up. :bucktooth: I'm now thinking "Where did all those parts come from?"

  4. Remind me, I have a memory like Dory!

  5. I’m sure the SBF was one of the 2 or 3 dealers that tried to pedal a miss labelled, clocked 1198 import a year or more ago and then there was that 1098 in 1098R fairings. Sure that was them. I also remember someone struggling to get their money back on a heap of shite they bought from them.

  6. Cool. :upyeah:

That bike is way too cheap if it was genuine, hell it even nearly got @Exige to open his wallet. It's a story bike and to be avoided imo. :eyes:

If something is too good to be true, then it usua.....................blah balh blah.

  8. Another 996 BIP. Went on yesterday and first bid this morning. Looks a good base.
I think a lot of people with a casual admiration for Dukes (rather than our obsession) will be ditching bikes over the next couple of months as pressures from partners to get shot increases - what do you need that for, etc etc

  9. If you shop around you will find an S Corse at that price anyway!

  10. About 3 miles from my work.

I know Mike Baxter very well and he would've done a great job looking after it in his workshop.

  11. That 1198 Corse thingy also has a black swing arm (one of the more tricky parts to replace). A 1198 Corse should have a silver one. I think it's a white 1198 base with smelly bits on it. :bucktooth:

  12. I remember the bike, but not the Superbike Factories involvement - sure it was 2 other dealers the first being that beardy weirdy place in West Yorkshire
And for balance I don't think I have heard a bad thing about them so I have had to give you a disagree :( until reminded otherwise .

  13. A white 1198 base has a black frame. A white 1198s has a red frame. Was the 1198s available in white in the UK? I can't say I've seen one :bucktooth:

What is this thing? Import? due to the 1st MOT last year. If it's an 'S' it would explain the Ohlins
