The more the merrier, wi Why not, the more the merrier. I faced up to reality with regards to running a few years ago when my knee exploded every time I got to about 8 miles. I stick with the non impact stuff now.
The hardest part is getting in, it’s always oversubscribed used to be by ballot not sure now. Done it twice, a very tough event IMO. If you’re thinking of doing it it doesn’t really start until after the first stop at 52 miles. There’s a lot don’t make the first time cut off I recall a German fella missing it by 10 minutes, gutted for him. It slowly tries to kills you until you reach Hardknott then it goes into overdrive, it’s 33% gradient in places few places but averages 25%. It ‘flattens’ out half way just to give you a little rest.
I do quite a bit MTBing and during the lockdown I've done even more. I've a few that all get ridden but this is my main one. Scott genius from 2018... It's a mega thing to ride off road (where it belong s)....
