1199 Panigale R

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Daz67, May 4, 2020.

  1. 2 bikes taking my fancy , one is at Ducati Manchester ,the other one is at Cuba moto
Anyone on here looked at these or have any information last owners, condition etc
And also do these bikes get serviced yearly if your not putting the mileage on , so the one at cuda moto has just gone 5 years old will that need the big service doing
    Any help appreciated

  2. They both look very similar tbh.

The Manchester bike is £1k more but has a tracker. The Cubo moto bike may be more pampered, having Ventureshield and rad guards.

    Ducati Manchester

    Cubo Moto

There is no specific "Big" service at 5 years. Every 24 months is a slightly larger service, but nothing too scary. Valves are every 15k miles, timimg chain 30k miles. The Panigale also does not have timing belts.

  3. It would be the Cubo Moto one for me. The 1199 Panigale R was the previous model btw, these are just ‘Panigale R’.

  4. Stupid question, so they get serviced yearly , every 2 year they might get brake fluid as well , but do you have to hit the 15k and 30k miles before the valves and timing chain are done ,
Does anyone know if there was any put on a 17 plate ,iam trying to get a mint low mileage one so I keep it , just iam bit of a stickler when it comes to chips in fairings marks etc

  5. Valves and timing chain are mileage dependent.

They should be serviced yearly, but if they are sitting, it's not the end of the world as long as they are serviced when someone comes to use them or if you buy one of them. It wouldn't put me off.

    Schedule below.

  6. The Cubo Moto one has been advertised for what seems like ages, i think the one at Manchester is a more recent advertisement.

  7. I’ve been looking at both of these also. I was leaning towards the one at cubo moto purely for the lower mileage and venture shield. I’m holding fire atm to see what happens with work

  8. yea the Cuba moto one has less miles but , it's got stomp pads on which I always think of track days ( my opinion) and seems to be a lot of wear on the heel plate is this common ,Which i would replace anyway

  9. Leave the cub moto one alone, its mine when the values plummet! :grinning::joy::joy:

Seriously, as above its been there months. Could be worth a cheeky offer...IIRC its started at over £20K. Must be costing them money by now.

  10. Manchester one has been there a good few months too. At least 6.
