Not so sure now

  1. Hi All, Went for a test ride sunday on a Multistrada 1200s, And for most parts it was superb, Yes found a strange neutral where I didn't expect it and thought the screen was crap. As with all bikes there must be a good alternative screen so if anyone could recommend that would be great. BUT after reading the thread (that I cant seem to Find) the guy saying never again, their shit ect ect....are they really that bad??????? Don't really wanna part with 15k to be buying trouble and I know nuthin about dukes, Im comin from triumph...... Thanks for any help

  2. Buy it. That's one guy venting steam after a bad experience that for all we know might have not just been the bikes fault. Touch wood I've had no issues with my 848 in 2 1/2 years and 10000 miles of happy riding!

  3. i don't think you can simply make a decision on one mans rant...if we all paid heed to Clarkson every week then no one would buy any car other than a ferrari, porsche jag...anything loud and fast...which is cool

make your own mind up based on reviews across the board and what you personally like...

if i listened to my mates i would NEVER have bought a Ducati of any kind

and i dont regret a single minute of owning them...awesome on many levels

  4. I am sure there are thousands of satisfied customers of the Strada, it's a great bike and just because one chap had a few little issues should not put you off. I have had issues with my bike which is just a year old and reliability is pretty good, but get the right dealer and your 15K will be well spent when you are cruising along those twisty roads.

  5. You said that twice... oops, so did I...

  6. Make sure you get the right dealer. Better to have someone passionate, knowledgeable and competent rather than save a few quid on the purchase price. You may have a couple of issues, but that is what warranty is for.

Go for it. All bikes have their issues. Maybe you'll have none (which is also in the numbers game).

  7. Buy it. You only live once. If it goes wrong you can always sell it. If it goes right then its the beginning of a love affair and there's nowt better than that (coz you get it a lot).

  8. Im guessing the test ride was from an official dealer. I would suggest going to a different official dealer and take out their test bike as well. The screen is easily sorted thou and as the other have said one riders rant doesnt make a bad bike. Take your time, do your research and make an informed choice. The Multi is indeed a great great bike, but don't just take my word for it

  9. to be fair, if i recall, dave, richard h and stuart, all commented how bad it was and had all the usual issues, and got rid of theres? , personally i would rather someone give there views on there bike ownership, and think he got some rather rude comments for doing so, though problebly for generalising all ducatis in the same basket and not just the multi
