Quick walk out today. Filth hound managed to find the only dirty water for miles around. Very happy with herself!
Yep. The rest of her is catching up with her ears and feet. Her feet were so big for her body size we did wonder what breed she was for a while
He had his first bird today. Been some close calls, got the tail of a pigeon this week, but he came in with one yesterday. Unfortunately a small great tit. We got it in time tho, and other than being petrified stuff, didn’t look any damage when I let it go and it flew off.
our new "Rescue" dog was delivered this afternoon by Jerry Green Dog Rescue - she's eaten her tea, been on a good walk to meet horses and lambs, and is now having a nap
I am so bored with this lockdown and the lack of bike riding I find myself posting Pictures of the dog. anyway, came across this creative woodwork today, oh and the dog waiting for a treat..
@apatchy I just want to say thank you for the recommendation a good few weeks back about HokaMix30 and salmon oil. I'm not sure whether it's the HokaMix or the salmon oil, or both and despite the fact we gave our 2 dogs sardines on a regular basis the improvement in the quality of their coats has been remarkable since adding those 2 things into their diet. Thanks. What dry food mix do you use as well please?
I sent a video of the new rescue dog to her previous foster carer yesterday, just to show that the dog is fine: She responded by asking me if I could turn down the volume of the tick from our old clock, as it was "like water torture"? Bear in mind, I bought the clock in 1977, and it has been in our lounge ever since, ticking away - I think I've now figured out why the wife is mad though.
“Pulls on their lead”???? What the actual f*ck? It seems the previous owners didn’t want a dog but actually needed a teddy bear or something to use as a cute prop in order to get “Likes” on Instagram”. We’ve only had Iggy for just over 3 months and he’s such a big part of the family that I can’t begin to imagine what our life would be like without him in it. Well done @wroughtironron for giving the hound a home
I love this pic, below, of Iggy and my eldest boy sleeping on the sofa. My son had only been around Iggy for a couple of days when he was home for reading week in February when Iggy was a little puppy and I was a bit concerned that he wouldn’t remember him. Just the opposite in fact - when my son came home from uni for lockdown Iggy went absolutely batshit crazy when the boy walked through the door and was like his shadow for the rest of the time he was here. Iggy seems to bond really closely with people who have a calm and quiet energy as his favourite people are my girlf and my eldest son who have that sort of character whereas both me and my youngest son have a kind of frenetic slightly manic energy (we’re both ADHD’ers) and I think Iggy finds us a bit much sometimes. Get a Cocker Spaniel they said.... It’ll be fun, they said... Gazing adoringly at his mum.
