  1. Never ever follow the sheep inlife or you might just end up over the cliff edge one day.

  2. If you don't buy below market price you are actually giving someone else the next 3, 4 or 5 years of 'investment gain'.
I only bought one which I felt was bang on market value at the time, the rest were under by a good margin. To make money I should have flipped them, but I like stashing them o_O

  4. That Kawasaki you posted was listed as such. I fail to see any investment opportunity and think it's a niche, overpriced pretty standard bike, trying to jump on the back of a surge in prices for some 2 strokes.

  5. My take on it was that it's a one off in that condition and a very stylish two stroke motorcycle for the odd weekend blast....that's all.

  6. I just noticed the investment bit, and everyone seems to be trying it on for some pretty normal stuff.

A quick eBay search for "Investment" in the Motorcycle section. the 4 cheapest are -
    • A Suzuki Katana
    • A 60,000 mile EXUP
    • A Ducati Paso
    • A Suzuki MT 50
I wouldn't "invest" in any of them.

  9. He is open to offers very close to asking price!!

  10. So like 10k then? Wow. It’s still too much IMO for a 998 BiP but hey, what do I know, just my gut feel.

  13. Tried one when they were first launched. I think launched was the operative word. I had at that time never ridden a bike where the torque came in at 1500 rpm without any notice. Front wheel pawing the air in every gear, at any speed. I didn’t buy one because the bike was a fight from the off. What are we, nearly 2 years on and I still don’t think I’ve ridden a bike off the shelf that is as brutal. Don’t let them include a service, negotiate a discount and get it done at a specialist for the testastretta which might not be your local authorised dealer if all they have dealt in is the Panigale generation. 14. That's a great bike, comes with the deep sump, full monty 998 testastretta engine as well (as fitted to the 998S, which is different to that fitted to the standard 998, more powerful). I'd go for it but soon after getting it would swap out the exhausts and dump the big lump of a cat underneath there.
