Remap cost

  1. Picking up the 848 corse on Sunday and I'm going to need the ecu remapped to suit the termis, went to Moto corse in Wrexham and he will do it for £175,is that the going rate for the job or is there anywhere else in the north west that does it cheaper, thanks,Rob

  2. That's cheap. Take it. Is that mapping the chip to DP specs or a custom map?

I take it you have a 2nd hand set of termis being fitted? If they're new they should come with the hip and filter and no remap is required.

  3. As Matt says, if you are buying a Termi kit it should come with the specific ecu. You can remap your standard ecu yourself using Ducatidiag. All you need are the cables, the software (free) and you buy a license from the author for €100. If you know anyone that has already got Ducatidiag and have remapped an ecu previously then the price is €50.

Maybe Moto Corse use this or a similar programme ?

  4. Thanks for the replies,I have traded my 08 848 for the corse at woods in Abergele,as part of the deal they are taking my old style termis off and putting them on the corse and I'm hoping they will take the race air filter off and put it in the corse as well.
moto corse said they will do a dp remap,so by the sound if it £175 sounds a good deal

  5. Ah. Makes sense as the chip from your '08 won't fit a Evo. No £175 is a good price. I paid £199 for mine.

  6. Think its Anth on here that's the ECU guy. Try PMing him he'll probably have the map and may be able to do it significantly cheaper

    Just a thought

  7. Tony is a great guy and you have a great deal there if its mapped fully. Mine was about 450 from memory, full custom map on the dyno for quite a few hours. Worth every penny :upyeah:

  9. not if its a custom map he wont. Who'd want a DP off the shelf map which is at best 80% (more like far less) right?!

  10. Having said all that I'm still sweating on the termis fitting as the spring locations are different on the corse, they are doing the work on we'd so will find out then

  11. Does anyone know anywhere decent to get custom map in the real north west( Cumbria or Lancashire) or not too far away I'm getting my termis next Monday but might go custom if it will be a lot better than the DP one

  12. Motocorse at Wrexham...not that far :upyeah:

can only say about full custom map. Mine had DP map with Akros and was 131 on the dyno, post custom same day same dyno 139

    and its crisp

  13. I've got the full system with DP race ecu no probs. I will get a custom map eventually, but at the moment I've no complaints with the one ducati provide.

  14. Tony is handy on the dyno. He will do a custom map for each cylinder, not something all places do (but should). And there is a great café across the way if you are staying around whilst it is being done and don't want to listen to the machine going through it's paces on the dyno.

  15. Real north west,how rude :)

  16. Cheap is not always best. I bought some condoms from poundland and my first born is due in October.

  17. Chips

I thought 848's came on from having chips?

You'd be wanting gravy on them next!

  18. Ok maybe I misunderstood I took it that OP was just getting standard DP Performance map for his money. Fully agree if its a custom map being done on the Dyno £175 is a good price.

If its just the standard DP offering being reflashed into the ECU then I just thought getting hold of Anth was an option

  20. ECU's that come with termi's are generic only. They are a simple base map for every bike the exhaust is fitted to.
To get the best for your bike you need a custom map, done on each cylinder, each motor is different.
