this is the one i was looking at https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-S4-RS/333532928757?hash=item4da81c9af5:g:zj8AAOSwm1dd5j-P high mileage but history good and has full system etc. been for sale for long time (i spoke to them about it last Sept) reckon they would take a cheeky offer
I'm always surprised at how many strangers compliment me about my bike, these classic/ old style Monsters attract attention.
Thanks, useful to know. I was wondering how they'd change the engine characteristics, whether it was cams or just via the ECU/EPROM.
996sps with low mileage,, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DUCATI-9...913261?hash=item366281e26d:g:7s4AAOSw6BpesxQp
Looks ok, in need of some TLC as the seller seems to suggest (looks like the clutch slave has had a little wee at some point) but strong money!!!!
Yes it is relatively cheap, but strong money to maybe throw the dice at, looking at what the economy has in store for us after the covid 19 thing blows over Like you say MINEFIELD!!
I just saw that, so consulted the Bible and there's no mention of an SP3, just the 916 SPS for the 97 model year, which carried a 996 engine. Was there a 916 SP3, that implies there was an SP and an SP2 etc a'la 888 series. I'm a bit wary of that one.
I did a bit of googling (not much, just curiosity) and it looks like there was an SP3 916. Bonhams sold one for example.
It's not what I would Spend 11k on plus recomissioning costs. I think the boat has sailed on sensible money for these shaped bikes.
I've to say i like but as others have mentioned needs work, mileage on show more than i would personally want for longterm collection.if it was £7/8k then i'd be interested.
