The Cyclists/ebikers

  1. Looks like a Ti, without researching the bike. Looks like it’ll fail on the weld on the down tube due to fatigue from flexing. Also looks a dogs dinner IMO.

  2. Back up car? A few times I’ve called Wife assist when stranded sometimes you just can’t fix at road side without the parts.

  6. Looks like you’ve already converted your current steed to 1x in any case. Where I live you can ride flattish routes or there are some that’ll but you in ‘the cage of pain’. Depends how I feeling, with my Son I’ve tended to keep flattish.

  8. Tough session today, 6min intervals at 95 cadence then ramping up to 100 rpm at 200watts for 2 mins
I may need a nap this afternoon:)

  9. Nice little explore on the gravel bike this morning, a pleasant 20 miler .

ps. my mtb is 1x11 and is fine for 99% of stuff I ride . Gravel bike is 2x as I need the lower gears because of my puny little legs .Lol

  11. I had the original “sponge on a stick” principle full suspension mtb back in the day! In this exact colour, in winter the suspension wouldn’t work due to the rubber becoming less than flexible, moved on to a K2 which had electronic front suspension, great for California but UK winters just kept killing the battery feed!! Doesn’t half take me back :)

  12. Yeah mate of mine had one of those, the K2 I’m not familiar with. I’ve only ever ridden a full susser once a demo from a shop they let me borrow it for a weekend.
Used at the Dyfi Enduro great bit of kit whatever you lost on the uphill you made back in spades on the descents. Great event riding on otherwise inaccessible land, up there with the Keilder 100

  13. Careful Nigel, you have made a will haven't you?, was thinking this only this morning, nothing like yours today, only managed 9 miles/13.9 mph and that was a stretch but wobbly and nauseous at the end, probably to do with yesterday.

  14. Lol, wills are actually on my todo list due to the move to Oz, I’ve never had the time or the inclination Chris to spend so much time on the trainer but in a quite sadistic way I’m enjoying it, definitely feel myself getting fitter and losing a bit of weight too :) stay safe and don’t push too hard!

  16. we've got a route in common!

so far i've got to Cookham going West but stopped for now due to number of walkers.

EDIT I have too much time on my hands, found your bridge N - for the sake of anonymity, it's close to U. W., just above L. W. I can't see me cycling that far, unless including B&B one day.
