Saw my first idiot today. It is not against the law but so, so stupid. I almost lost a leg from a car pulling out when I was doing about 40 mph, wearing biking kit (that wasn't greet but that is another thread). So what can be done? Or should anything as you will never stop retards from harming themselves... But for FFS, even a pair of jeans is better than nothing!
He's free to scrape any amount of skin off his body as he likes, no sense in getting annoyed or outraged he does what he does.
were they safety shorts? i must admit to riding in turkey wearing shorts, a vest and a cowboy hat... it was 45 degrees though. the cowboy hat blew of my head and the string nearly choked me till the hat exploded (it was a cheap straw one). its stupid as fuck and i cringe when i see people riding in shit gear but let those who ride decide i guess.
where do you draw the line though? those same bikers are tax payers too and may not be impressed at having to foot the bill for obese people or cyclists or ......
leave psychos out of it we're keeping healthy not getting obese, pick on the motorcyclist who's numbers are obscene for injuries and probs obesity
Nah much prefer riding a good descent, knowing round a TC on either mode of transport ain't fun at all.
Not for me but maybe if you ride a moped/scooter in a cool european city at sensible pace then it's ok.
I'm biased as I'm currently on crutches after falling off a bloody pushbike at almost zero speed and fracturing my hip - meaning no Ducati or anything else this summer - so shorts and motorbikes are a bad combination in my opinion unless they're armoured/well padded motorbike shorts. In fact I'm going to get some to use on the bloody pushbike.
