Went to see an Aprilia RS 250 at a small specialist dealer north of Auckland (NZ) yesterday. Was a brilliant ride out there and a chance to put some miles on the Tuono Factory I just bought before lockdown. Dealer has two barns stuffed with exotica - mostly Italian. Took this shot of a Senna next to a 998S Bostrom and 998S Bayliss Rep. Other than various 916 variants he had the most Bimotas I’ve seen in my life in one place. Plus a few classics too. A real Aladdin’s cave of bikes. Unfortunately the RS 250 wasn’t up to scratch. But might go back to look at some of the other stuff he has.
I will tell you why I dislike that photo it's because I don't see a sprinkler system aka water hydrant system. In place to protect those precious rare vehicles. Reminds me of the debacle with the idiot owner of the National motorcycle musuem. Who refused for sometime to install a sprinkler system when the place burnt down & then people donating realized it would happen again & it eventually got the pleb to change his decision. But please correct me if the barns do have protective automatic systems.
