Old school GT's, the ball burnished I had built up back in 95 and the Mango Orange one is super rare, acquired that a few years ago ...
looks barely better than leaning it against the wall for maintenance, you'll be scrabbling on the floor with it. I’ve got a well dear spider stand that I never use, because I prefer the 15 quid “Oypla” one I got off amazon
for those who cycle to train or train to cycle or well just train lifted from a cycling club. Ps, Jason , hope you do not mind me posting this ? Jason , a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in Glasgow and amazingly still a 1st category road racer has been closely observing Covid19. He noted that " we know that this virus enters cells via ACE2 receptors , which are found in the lungs but also the heart and kidneys ", " one effect of this, observed in China and Italy is that quite a lot of patients develop myocarditis, ( inflammation of the heart ) even young and fit individuals" . Jason commented on this, which happened to a friend of his who contracted Covid19 whilst skiing, returned to training too soon, and was admitted to hospital with myocarditis . "Though recovering well , he now has a lifelong risk of cardiomyopathy ( heart disease ) and has put his long term health at risk" His advice to cyclists , " it depends on the individuals personal exercise history , but it is definitely not the time to be doing 10% above what you would normally do. Any effort above 60% of maximum heart rate may raise your cortisol level and compromise your immune system , so be cautious for now "
Nah that's for serious training straight after having recovered from C-19, it's basically telling you not to until fully recovered.
I just watched your video scud and it brought back some old memories, My first adult bike was a muddy fox s&g araya, I saved for ages for one and it got stolen two weeks after buying it, so I bought my mates tushingham B52, the precurser which led into the creation of Orange. That and my old dolomite painted klein attitude are the two bikes I wish I'd never sold, the Kleins are stupid money now. I remember about 7 years ago I saw a specialised bike claiming to be one of Jason McRoys race bikes. A friend I knew had Jasons dads email and so i shot off an email and we emailed across a few and it was a team bike and one of Jasons, his fsr. Apparently it was being sold and all the funds were going to the Jason MCroy foundation, it went through ebay and ended up making £5k, his dad was quite touched that people still had such fond memories of Jason. I don't know if you knew but Michael bonney who created the ducati up north forum and was known as Gizmo, was the same michael bonney who played a major part in Orange bikes history but sadly passed in November last year
Did that chap on the parapet just blow his nose in the general direction of your auntie?, Perhaps time for a giant wooden badger.....
