Welcome Gary. Not from Bristol originally but live in Yate now. I bought 916 with VERY little tech skills but with the help of a few guys on here i now have a 996 too very nearly fully stripped down ready to restore. And I would say, the pleasure from riding a 916 is awesome in my opinion, best money I’ve ever spent. I’ve an MT in the garage too and wouldn’t dream of working on that myself! 996 soon to become a resto thread!
Welcome Chap, plenty of advice and help with your possible choices, as you can see we quite a few bristolians here, even some bloke who runs a website called wings over somerzet beware the request for pictures of bike/s and bins

I used to live in Paulton, and always used the chip shop in Timsbury- name escapes me now, but family shop, lovely food.
Looks tidy enough. Depends how concerned or not you are with originality. From the pictures the indicators are aftermarket, seat unit too and passenger pegs and hangers are missing. Screen also and original ones are very expensive. Seat looks to be recovered with something else. Are the fairings still original or aftermarket, the fixings aren't original. That stuff adds up and will affect future value. I took a lot of my original stuff off the bike to preserve it for future value. The rear paddock stand that they had originally is very handy too. You need one really. Spending a little bit more might be saving you money very quickly. If you just want one for the fun and aren't to concerned about what it's worth in the future then sure, looks pretty good on the pictures in my opinion.
Just seen is a CAT D. I wouldn't buy it. I don't think you'd ever get your money back. I'm shocked at the price. I haven't looked at prices for a while but I just bought a MV Agusta F4 312r with a lot less miles for not that much more.
