Each F1 team has a #1 regardless of what they say. That driver remains number one until his team mate is seen as a better bet, especially if the team mate is several years younger and cost less than half in salary. LeClerc earnt his shot at #1 but can he take the pressure of Ferrari #1 drivers spot? Will he get the same treatment from Sainz, as he gave to Vettel?
I think Sainz, whilst combative, doesn’t have the ego of Vettell and will be much more of a team player. Be interesting to see when F1 start racing again, just how competitive the Ferrari team will be. Their poor performance wasn’t just the car, some of their tactics made no sense at all. Andy
Right now Ferrari don't have the team management to take on Merc, and two young drivers will either make it but more likely break it. When did a pair of two young guns ever race well together in a top team? I can't remember one in years...
What about, if Sainz does go to ferrari, bottas contract isn't taken up but ricciardo moves to mercedes?
Sadly tomorrow is the final day of this project, 3500 of the most shielded contacted and accounted for. I have to say despite 6 am starts , a very very rewarding experience. Bike running like a rocket ship too. Now back to 02 home kit deliveries for Royal Free Hospital and the PPE stuff going literally all over. If anyone is at all interested and maybes wants more info check out Team Rubicon UK and Bike Shed Community Response. Been a blast but truly knackered!!
I used to get that from ridng the Buell if i'd a back issue, but not so much from the Ducati's these days, perhaps i require a different model.
