Hello everyone! Been lurking on here for a while recently and have also visited now and again over the years. Since I can't get out much on any of my bikes at the moment it seemed an opportune time to actually join the forum. So, I own one Ducati - 1997 900ss - which I bought in 2000. Bought it as I liked the idea of air cooling, carbs, two valves per cylinder and no engine management to go wrong. It has straight through carbon end cans, other than that it has just been serviced, maintained and used (the silencer mounts were a temporary solution that seems to have become permanent). Unbelievably I have never seen another one on the road since buying it 20 years ago! I also have a Honda CG125 for going to the shops on in the winter and a slightly tuned up Suzuki SB200, which is pretty nippy for a 200 and good for embarrassing boy racers between traffic lights - the brakes are not so hot right enough. Anyway, a picture (Possibly, if I have done it right): Mick-Bob (a Waltons/Death row name).
Looking good there Mick, have you had any problems during your ownership? I have the same model and year, I bought it last October and I’ve been slowly tidying it up.
