in the pyrenees a few years ago. i was with @Dave @Stu848 @Andy800 @WAYNE and sam... i cant remember sams handle... wicked trip, i loved every minute . fantastic roads and scenery. i think that pass was closed about a week earlier due to snow but it was well warm when we were up there.
and yes, no front guard, i took it off for cleaning then reversed the bike over it!!! i quite like the look though!
it was awesome! i remember we came out of one giving it the beans and there was a cop standing just after the exit, he justs waved all friendly like. didnt see f all cops tbh.
Thank you all. These bikes look pretty good in yellow too. The only problem I have had with mine, that was not due to my lack of knowledge with them (letting a valve drop in to the rear cylinder when changing shims, for example), was the regulator rectifier providing a spectacular pyrotechnics display in the middle of the town one day in 2016. Three people offered assistance but I managed to ride home on the battery after disconnecting what was left of the regulator wiring and shorting out the alternator windings. It is a good job I left the bin in place for that photo - it was put out just after the picture was taken. I have attached a photo of a photo from 20 years ago of the bike on the Lecht road - you can still see some snow here and there. Had to stop and remove my fleece from under my jacket as I was getting too hot. Had to stop and put it back on when the cold sea air hit me when descending in to Stonehaven. MB
